I love these boots. I got my first pair in the mid-80s when they were still really hard to get in the US. They are imported from Australia, and as I understand it, they were first popular as an after surf boot. By the time they trickled over to here, they were being used by surfers and skiers, and, by ice skaters and ice skating coaches (which is how I discovered them). After a long day of skiing or skating, these UGGs are everything that a skate or ski boot is not (instead of tight, cold, rigid... UGGs are fluffy, warm, and so soft on your feet). They just feel so good to put on your feet, that I sometimes find myself fantasizing about the moment when I can put them on again!
